Historic Kerargon lies between the quaint town of Quimper(20 km) and the endless beaches of France's longest continuous coastline. Accessible only by a private driveway, Kerargon is especially quiet and safe for children. 2 neighboring towns, Pouldreuzic and Landudec (each 4km) offer everything for your daily needs. - Athletically inclined? 7 kms to "our" beach, Penhors, with lifeguard, surfing and sand yachting school. Surfer's paradise, LaTorche, harbours with fishing and sailing expeditions are all close. 4 golf courses lie within 25km. A riding stable is 5min away. Hiking, cycling (local bike rental) can begin at our door.

- History buff? Delve into Brittany's rich history: the megalithic period, the 1st Century AD when Brittany was christianised by Irish monks (many of whom are now Breton saints), the artist colony made famous by Gauguin, visit calvaries, cathedrals, dolmens, archaeological sites and much much more...

- Shopaholic? Quimper's pedestrian zone offers a host of fascinating shops, cafes and creperies plus a major factory outlet. The area has always been an artist's mecca: every market offers an assortment from aesthetic to zany. Armor Lux (think striped tees) maintains a large factory outlet.

- Foodie? Pick from among the freshest seafood or specialities like artichokes and strawberries. Prepare them to your taste and time schedule in our well equipped kitchens. Serve at our spacious farmhouse tables with Cidre (Kerné) and Paté (Henaff), specialties from the next town, organic safran from our neighbour fresh herbs from our garden, and the local white wine (Muscadet) which is both delicious and reasonably priced.

- Music junkie? All summer long, local towns vie with each other with music festivals big and small. Some of the more famous: Festival de Cornouaille, Quimper,(July) the Interceltique festival, Lorient (August), the Fete des Brodeuses, Pont l'Abbe (July), the folk music festival, Plozevet (August). Big name musicians play alongside local heroes. And much of it is music to dance to.

- Will to chill? Relax in our loungers and hammocks in your own garden or the communal courtyard. Hear the hush. Name the bird call. Pick a book from our book exchange.
